Easy "Homemade" Valentine's Day Goodie Bags

This post is a little late, but better late than never.  These are the treat bags I put together for my class this Valentine's Day.

These are not the greatest pictures, they were taken with my phone.  Next project I hope to document using a better camera.

Supplies Needed:
  • Various sheets of colored cardstock (pinks, reds, purples, etc.)
  • Every day craft supplies: Double-sided tape or Glue Stick,  Scissors or Paper Trimmer
  • Bone folder (to fold cards)
  • Valentine's Day Scrapbook Paper (may be substituted by Valentine's Day Stamp)
  • Valentine's Day sentiment or design stamp and stamp pad
  • Scalloped Scissors (or any other design you choose)
  • Various Valentine's Day Stickers, Other Treats or Goodies
  • Homemade Crayons (premade, optional)
  • Valentine's Day treat bags (I used sandwich type bags from Michael's)

1. Cut your cardstock to the desired size.  I used 8 1/2 x 11 size cardstock and cut it in half to make two cards out of each sheet.
2. Use your bone folder to create a clean fold.

3. Cut the images from your scrapbook paper.  I found this Valentine's Day themed paper at Michael's.
4. Apply double-sided tape or glue to your images.

5. Center your images and apply to the front of your card.

6. You may cut out a small square or rectangle from light colored cardstock to write your message inside the card.

7. Hand stamp a Valentine's Day sentiment or image and cut out using decorative scissors.
8. Attach the sentiment or image to your card and add cute Valentine's Day stickers.  I purchased these at Target.

9. Gather your Valentine's Day treats and fit them inside your treat bags.  I used foam stickers from Michael's, bubbles from the party section at Target, Valentine's Day themed erasers from Target, "Love Bug" pom pom toy, granola bars and homemade red crayons.
10. Last but not least, write out each card and label each bag with the child's name.
